A few questions regarding a 1999 Mk1 gal.

1; Is the roof mounted digital clock supposed to be illuminated when the lights are switched on? Mine aint and ya cant see it in the dark :P

2; Some bulbs have blown which light up the heater control knobs, (not climate control) how do I get at them?

3; Is there a way of changing the speaker grills without taking the door cards off? (and yes I am lazy :D )

yes, yes by removing the trim panel around the control knobs, and again yes, the answer to all these questions and many more are all available via the FAQ or by using the search button :D

Couldnt find owt about the clock light using the search, so just got in there with me tiny screwdrivers

The bulbs gone on the clock light and suprised to find there is only 1 bulb in the heater controls (which is working, just a bit dim)

Couldnt be a**ed mucking about with the speaker covers this time o night so I`ll leave that til 2morow.

Managed to get an owners manual for it the other day off ebay, just gotta get a haynes manual as well now.

Are the workshop manuals you can buy from ebay on a data disc any good?

Just break the speaker grills and use a pair of long nosed pliers to carefully remove the bits that are stuck on, then just super glue on new ones.

I got a set off ebay and did that, and they seem fine.

I cant seem to find the grey ones on ebay. There are loads of black

Does anyone know where to get the tweeter speaker covers for the rear doors from? My eldest wondered what it was and poked a finger through it! :(
